'The Architecture Of Hope' - Maggies Cancer Caring Centres by Charles Jencks and Edwin Heathcote.

Beginning my exploration into 'calming architecture', initially I feel I need to discover what elements make calming architecture. This is understanding is fundamental in my research in order to then take this theory and analyse if it could be applicable in terms of animals.

The first point of research, I decided to explore into the Maggies Centres - structures purposely built to induce a sense of psychological calm during a traumatic time for the patients.
