Focusing on finding out whether there are any current rehabilitation centres for traumatised dogs, I encountered the 'Good Newz' Rehabilitation Centre. This facility focuses on rescuing 'chained' dogs instead of dogs who have been in a shelter environment - nonetheless the animals in question have undergone trauma and need rehabilitation and care to become adoptable pets.
Researching further into their website, the site of which Good Newz is based is a restorative project in itself, as the site previously housed a stated 'house of horrors', a dog fighting rig.
In a metaphorical way, the sites new purpose is subconciously restoring the horrendous occurence of dog fighting and rehabilitating in itself by finally doing good for traumatised dogs.
